I’m with Scottish power and have taken part in 2 power saving events
Not Offering a rebate but points that qualify amongst others for Tesco vouchers 😂
however two weeks after the event no points as unable to get half hourly reading from my smart meter
just all seems a joke I can see the readings on my phone app 😱0 -
My forecast usage for the three events I participated in were around 200Wh, where my actual was around 800Wh. Given that I wasn't even in the house for 2 of the 3, I think the forecast usage is very off. While I'm happy to try and reduce energy usage, there's no way that my empty house uses 4 times the "average usage of that time period". It doesn't make sense at all. Can't find any way of querying it with them either.0

I have been asked my Scottish Power to participate in 2 events and have earned 90 points in 2 weeks.Have worked out it will take me 8 months to get the 1500 points for a Tesco voucher.Hold on! the scheme ends in March which means I will get nothing. My family member has already saved £17 off his energy bill with Octopus Energyseems Scottish Power are fooling us into believing we can earn money by saving them power0

As the 115 points from the 3 events I've taken part in are still 'pending' (the first was 2 weeks ago), I decided not to participate in last night's event.
@llamsetep - I haven't seen details of the rewards stated anywhere - is it 1500 points for a £20 Tesco voucher ? If so, I expect it'll take 2 events a week for 5 months for me to achieve that

I'm another one who seems to receive fewer points the more I save! Feels like a box ticking exercise by ScottishPower, to be honest. I'll stay in as it loses me nothing but its giving me no incentive to save energy.0

It's just struck me that if they start using the reduced amount of energy we used at recent energy saving events as a basis for the predicted usage for future events, then we'll be even more screwed !
If the predicted usage figures were more accurate and all people had to do is avoid cooking and doing other power-hungry tasks and got rewarded with a few quid for doing so then that would be fine, but the issue with such low predictions (especially at this time of year) is that it doesn't allow for basic things like heating or lighting.0 -
We have a battery to save our solar generation so we just switched to battery power during the ‘events’. We also turned everything possible off and had a snooze! The rewards do seem pretty small for anyone putting much effort into saving power0

Have Scottish power had any more saving events since December? Not had any notifications in January 240

I have been checking the voucher amounts. As a low user I don't think it is possible to earn enough points for even the lowest level. What happens to my points after March, does Scottish Power gather everyone's up and claim them themselves.?0

Scottish Power still haven't credited the events I took part in at the start of December. Very poor.0
