Have you checked which register is ticking over during the day, and which is night?
Just check the meter before and after doing something like boiling the kettle and see which register advances.

Just got a bill recalculating from the 22nd of january to yesterday .Both day and night started at 0 on the 22nd of january .The day reading was 1087.9 and the night reading was 106.3

If the registers are recording correctly then it appears you have used most of your electricity during the daytime.
Are you sure your storage heaters are correctly set?

Edit: or are you saying that despite what the engineer showed you, and you have verified, that Eon Next are applying the wrong register readings to each rate?

If this is just a matter of transposed day/night readings, it’s not an uncommon issue and should prove relatively straightforward to sort out.

Ah, that's power a hungry appliance.  How often and how long is it used?
  • Essex Hebridean I hope so thanks.
  • Any advice on the best energy companies that are able to give correct bill for a smart meter on economy 7 tariff .
Eon next do complete nonsensical bills every month still, which I then have to contact and try to sort out.Today give the day meter reading from July say 254 then give the night reading from August which is say 2345 and then take one from the other to calculate the bill .245 pounds instead when calculated correctly with two day reading and two night  reading from July to August the bill is 47 pounds .Same every month .
