Don't tell them. Worst mistake I ever did, had 2 children, tried twice went horribly wrong.

What I learnt was, if they didn't like me, us then they wouldn't like the children.

You're a grown up, so you can live your life independently and if your parents react badly to the news that they are going to be grandparents, you can live your life without them.

Why on earth would your parents be shocked that you were trying for a baby and think you weren't doing the right thing?  Did they explain?

My parents never liked me. So they didn't like my children either. The reason all goes back to they never wanted me to be born, I was a unwanted child from their cheating.

@blueberrye this thread was started last November. It’s a fairly safe bet that the OP’s family are now fully aware of the pregnancy.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

The OP's partner was 4 weeks pregnant in September 2023...
And it's not the only old thread that has been posted on by that poster.

Might be a bit late now - thread is 6 months old. If the parents didn’t know then, they will now

    Grandparents, you mean. :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
