Hi all.
Bit of a long shot.
The parking company say I didn't appeal in the 28 day time period. I did it on their Web page as soon as I got the fine, but I have no proof of doing so. I still have the original parking ticket I paid for. I only got a reply from them after I wrote and posted a letter after I got my second letter from them.
Any helpful advise would be welcome.
Thanks in advance
Update.
I have received my court hearing. I have applied for an extension because I was on holiday.
I am just filling out my version of event's. I sent a photo of the ticket to their legal team who say that euro carparks would be happy to receive a payment of twenty pounds and stop all court action.

    Which PPC?

Show us the PCN both sides, leaving all dates visible. Cover VRM, PCN, car images and your data.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • It was euro car parks. They have acknowledged my second appeal but said it is past 28 days to take into account.

    STOP
Do not contact the parking company again, for now.
Please answer r above from coupon mad, also:
    Where is this car park?
    Who's car park is is?
Why did your vehicle get a parking charge notice?
What exactly did you say in the "appeal"?

Do not attempt to identify the driver or guess as to who this could have been at this stage,  if you have don't worry but let us know.
    From the Plain Language Commission:

"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"

Complain to their complaints page first. Then complain to the BPA.

  • Also. It says on the new letter, I have 28 days upon receipt of this communication. Which I have.
The machine was slow and I ended up putting the first leter of my reg after my reg, because of a blank screen, thats why the NPR didnt work.
  • The car park is in Castleford. Don't know who owns it. I said the machine was faulty and the reg was put in wrong. I didn't notice until the fine.
I told them I have already appealed before.
I could post a copy of the letter I sent if it helps, I will blank out all personal info.

No need. Just do the 2 complaints I said.

A complaint is different from an appeal.

  • Just a quick update. I found emails from the carpark firm in my deleted spam box.
They refused my first appeal saying
"Your appeal states that you purchased a pay and display ticket or mobile payment session. However, after checking the mobile providers mobile payment  and/or pay and display machine audit reports for your stay, there are no transactions for the registration mark which would suggest there has been a "major keying error" when purchasing a pay and display ticket/mobile payment session"

The machine screen was blank when I arrived  so that's why I tried re entering my reg.

Stop calling it a "fine" it's an invoice calling it a fine (which is what they like people to imagine) gives them an air of authority and the victim a sense of dread!
This is the problem with LCD screens in cold weather they lag and this causes errors.
LCD is what it says a liquid housed between two layers of glass, in cold weather it slows down and can even freeze. As the display is part of the circuit it causes time lag and response errors coupled with the operator moving faster than the circuit can now cope. Different units/ages will show different effects, it's all well known you will even see it on some car displays in very cold weather on start up, but outside in the elements it's worse.
An expensive petrol pump with illumination will be built better, to standards laid down and protected better than an exposed parking machine that has been bought as cheap as possible in an unregulated industry.
Of course the idiots at the greedy PPC scammer organization won't tell you that or admit to it, but use it, simple research will show.

Just goes to prove that the PDT or the mobile app both of which - well maybe the app through a stand-alone provider - are ultimately the responsibility of the PPC are not fit for purpose.
