  • #39 an extra £15 added to the pot

I'm trying to add £15 each week so will see how I go, also using the round up option in my bank's app to see how much more I can save.
  • One more week of January left if anyone has any updates.  Spreadsheet is updated and link is below.

I have done up to day 60 so far and finding it a bit frustrating at how low the amount looks for now but I am determined to do it in the classic way this year.

Are people doing bank transfers or using a pot and actual coins/notes? I am colouring in a spreadsheet which I find fairly rewarding and moving money over to a savings space attached to my personal bank account.

  • i normally at the start of the month try to start it off with anything spare from the month before i try for one pound a day.
i have three pots in chase a monthly xmas pot and a roundup, at the end of the month i transfer these to another pot for the year, this way i can keep monthly and yearly separate, complicated but it works for me.

  • #12 checking in added another £4,making £31 in total and I have crossed off numbers 12, 27, & 361

I am doing it by actually crossing off the chart and sending money to a savings account.

  • #08 geordiejon final january total £73.32
decided to finish this months today, i have my son over for the weekend from europe and i know i will have money to add but will use that in february.
  • I'm using an otherwise unused savings account and transferred January's money into it from my current account and will continue to do that. I aim to finish in November so will transfer December's savings along with another month's savings - probably in March.
