Three's services inc autorenew fall over with web & app upgrades

A heads up for any Three PAYG customers, my autorenew didn't happen yesterday so I'm unable to make calls on my mobile. The Three PAYG app said it needed to be deleted and to use the main Three app. Did all that then it popped up a message that existing customers needed to re register due to the upgrades. Turns out you can't use your old email address to re register, it has to be a different one.
Spoke to online chat who said that their system upgrade had caused "several" PAYG customers to lose their autorenew. They arranged a top up there and then, but two hours later, still unable to make calls "you have insufficient credit".
I switched to Three a few years back because of their attractive roaming inc USA, Chile etc. Then when they switched that off for pay monthly customers (but still allowed it for PAYG), I switched to PAYG. For two years, there has been one hiccup after another with autorenew falling over on a regular basis.
Today it seems they have major problems with PAYG customer accounts, so if you're having issues, you're not alone!
