UK newcomer investment query

Hi all, I have only been in the UK for a short while and have been working for almost 2 years. I am 65 years old and was wondering what would be the best way to invest my capital as I will obviously not get a full pension, although I intend to work as long as I am able. It is not enough to buy a property.

You will get much better answers if you post more detailed info. Such as ;
Approx what level of capital are you talking about and where is it held now ?
Approx what is your income?
What income do you think you can live off when you retire?
Do you have a workplace/employer pension you are contributing to ?0
