The insides are not like that diagram, then? A different model, I guess.
In most, the microswitches are visible - you just need to know where to look. But yours might have another cover over this part, I dunno?

The TCO is on top of the water tank (1 on the diagram shown earlier). A quick check with a multimeter would confirm if that's the problem. Turn off power first.
