Happy new years Eve Eve!

Wrote my shopping list whilst eating my breakfast, then hung the towels on the line. Headed to town & dropped my friends finished birthday present off - she loved it! Collected mum & we went shopping.

Had a quick dinner when i got home, then me & DH went for a walk round the block. Thankful we put hi-vis waistcoats on, as was getting dark by the time we reached home. Some tw*t had their lights on full beam & didn't pull out to go past us, so even though we were on the grass verge, they were close to clipping DH 🤬

Put the shopping away, then ordered new internal doors. They're not going to be delivered for 4-8 weeks, but good to know they're on their way! Collected DS3 from his friends, then started doing budgets. Holding my hand up very sheepishly - I've only just put money in my December sinking funds! No idea why I didn't do it sooner!! Though guess I've been quite busy. Printed off new sheets for my budget folder for the new year, so can work through all of that & set it up tomorrow.

Grateful for a dry day, that DH wasn't hit by the car, my friend liked her present, funny TV programme 👻👻👻😂

The race is on to see what jobs I can get rid of this year.   Looked in the fridge, and I need to use up half a jar of pesto and half a block of puff. Pesto pinwheels for the NY wait-up..... after the loft clearance.

Good Afternoon 🥂

Did a mini food shop as only have a few of my prepped meals left. Treated myself to a few gaming credits too, to enjoy over the BH. Laundry all done - just needs putting away. Bed changed. Would like (maybe like isn't the right word haha) to clean the bathroom... but right now it is diary/planner time!!! Started a few weeks back but want to finish off so I'm all good to go tomorrow. Might do a little release ceremony tonight and welcome in the NY. There are usually fireworks - so can go to the rooftop and see them for miles around - right into Manchester city centre! That's if I last that long haha. 

Today I am grateful for:

1) Keeping on track with my eating
2) A day at home
3) New beginnings

Today = NSD number 12

Thanks for running December's post grandmanerd, and to apple (and anyone else if I missed them) for keeping this thread running month to month. Thank you to everybody who contributes too - it'd be pretty quiet without you all haha.

I saw an advert for WSM on the TV and thought of you! 
Today I have hoovered my unboarded loft space and just finished one anti - woodworm treatment. Got to do another spray in 15 minutes and am terrified of poisoning myself ☠️ But it needs to be done before insulation roll and boards go down, and then I will have another whole new-to-me usable space ( to store DHs tat mountain).
DH is not convinced... but that might be because he is 'on holiday' 😕 oh well, he is not likely to change now, is he. 😂

We have a new (to us) oversized TV courtesy of my dad wanting to keep up with his brother. My sister and I kept telling him, he didn't need a 58"tv (he had a 50"). Anyway as soon as he said I'm just looking🙄, we knew it would be arriving soon. Hence we have the old TV, it's going in the youngest room once the eldest moves out in the summer.

Not alot happening today due to exhaustion, making a veggie curry. Tried out my new instant pot for chickpeas. Reasonably happy with the results.. No pennies or pounds spent from my purse but DH went for bread. UP bread to boot🙄.

Ha! Same problem here, so DH is in the kitchen making bread rolls for tonight.  I also hid 4 litres of milk and 3 bottles of pop in my car boot, or they would have disappeared as well.  
Dried chickpeas go much further than tinned ones. After an overnight soak they take maybe 20 minutes in a pot.  So much nicer too.

Been an absolutely awful year just rounded off by Himself falling over again (twice within five minutes). I had to run for the neighbours as I couldn't manage him myself. Both medically trained and reckon it's low blood sugar but nothing broken. He's in bed now and they are coming back to check on him later. Bless them. I don't know what I would do without them. Serious conversation with him tomorrow whether he likes it or not. Please let 2024 be better. xxx
