Grateful today for sorting issues like not being able to log into library account and getting access to online banking, for a quick easy pre-made chilli for dinner, and for OH and Mum encouraging me to go to health club tonight (felt much better for it and got to spend uninterrupted time with Mum).NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6

Well done on all you've achieved @grandmanerd, sorry to hear about your brother.
I've had good news tonight, my cousin has been discharged from hospital tonight (also has the bug C), & his mum will be discharged tomorrow 😃
2 more NSDs
Didn't exercise before work yesterday, but got lots of steps in at work. Stayed late to meet the 2 candidates for the head teacher post, good we were asked for feedback afterwards. One told me we had a mutual friend & I'd met the other one when she was a teenager, many years ago! Small world, eh?!
Started hand stitching round the edge of a blanket for a commission.
Today I did some yoga, had a good day at work. The teacher told me that my regular pupil has formed an attachment with me & was asking when I'd be with them, as I was elsewhere with another pupil this morning.
Pinned a woman into some trousers, then shortened them after tea (the trousers, not the woman!🤣), then finished stitching the blanket edge. Tomorrow I can cut out & sew on the name & applique a picture.
Grateful for surprise happy mail (@beanielou) & from Norway, another lovely birthday present, a nice soak in the bath, time to read, meeting the nice candidates, hearing that the one with the mutual friend got the jobUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Yesterday waited for the pool person to come, then went to the library for our budget meeting for the Friends group. We already have the money to cover the budget for next year and then some. I try to make it so we have a good head start on the following year, so no one needs to panic. And the librarian feels she can call on us when a special need comes up. This year they will be teaching American Sign Language and we will be helping pay for the workbooks for that. We try and be open for any new project. I checked out two books. One on simplifying Christmas (which mentioned Martin Lewis in it!) and the other Hygge. Read my way through both of them between yesterday and today. On the way home we stopped and picked up my prescription (free) and then went to the supermarket and really blew the NSD - spent $176 dollars, but roommates will pay my back for a lot of it. It would have been $254, but we had vouchers and coupons for the rest of it. Home, and after reading, I started crocheting and made myself a fingerless mitten for my left hand where I am having a pinched nerve. Had a cup of tea while visiting this site. One of my roommates noticed that the neighbors had put out a wooden framed cushioned chair for the trash pick-up. We managed to rescue it and we moved it into where I had actually cleared a space that morning. Put my knitted blanket over the top and it was promptly claimed by one of our cats. He had been sleeping in my room, but refused to give up the chair for the other cat yesterday and let me have my entire bed last night. So we now have a new-to-us chair if we can move a cat.
Today I took roommate G to the doctor (I read a lot when taking people to the doctor's office). He wanted to go by and pick up a couple of items we hadn't known he needed yesterday at the other supermarket. While there, I dropped off several meals to a homeless man who was outside the store. I had been carrying them in the car to give away. Then home to discover the church had brought us two boxes of food so took one box next door to the neighbors. Worked on cleaning up papers and family history for several hours. The man who is considering providing a home for our husky took her out to the dog park and then home for a sleepover. I feel like a parent wondering how her first night away from home is going. Two of our roommates went into Los Angeles to see the taping of the Jimmy Kimmel show. We will stay up late to watch it tonight. Today did end up a NSD for me - number 7.
Tomorrow will be taking G to his Ultrasound, taking Di and I to the neurologist (we both have appointments with the same one a half hour apart), back to pick up G, and home. The fruit and veggie box should be delivered by then. We will be going to the library for a couple of hours, then to Di's podiatrist appointment to see what is happening with her ankle. Home to see how doggie is doing and if she is coming home yet or spending another night. It is her third birthday tomorrow also. Evening will be getting ready for book sale on Friday.9 -

I'm trying to introduce a bit of method into my plodding so 7 boxes and a few extra bits into a paper sack , half a sack of cans tied up and thrown down (I have 2 sacks to use alternately), got confused trying to find the open end of my rubbish sack before discovering I had 2 on the go which eneded up side by side. Just gearing up to go in the shower but someone's beaten me to it.
think I'm giving up on crafting for the time being (seeing as I haven't been able to do anything for the last 2 weeks so will start to tidy and pack away projects in sections. I want to get things out of the house but 'putting away' will reduce the visible clutter so I can get to some of the more urgent things.
Gratefful for food and snacks left from yesterday, Ds3 bringing up drinks for me (and a new toilet roll for my nose), just keeping going (not feeling great is now my default setting, just grateful for what was done yesteerday).8 -
Really miffed, DH has managed to lose his wedding ring down the back of the water tank. Obviously not on purpose. Had everything out and it looks like it's disappeared down one of the gaps round the water pipes. We only got it last year to replace the one he'd had to have cut off due to an accident at work severalyears ago. It took us several years of saving to afford it. It cost us an absolute fortune. We had to get it handmade because they no longer sold the same design. Going to go and sob into a bucket of wine
