I currently have an iPhone SE ( 2020) model , I am out of contract and have a sim only . I get 40gb a month ( double date as I’m virgin media customer ) and unlimited text and phone calls for £10 per month . My battery isn’t  as good as it used to be and I’m thinking of upgrading the phone . I use the data and some calls and texts but unsure of what to go for my budget is around £300-£350 ( hopefully ) not sure whether to keep the sim only and just but a phone ……….help needed …🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Didn’t even know this was an option ……I’m an old fogey ……the phone is also getting slower and if I could get a slightly newer model , I’d be delighted …..I’m just not as good with technology so I def want to stick with an iPhone as I know hotmail to work them

I'm an old fogey too at 83

I have the SE and I upgraded to the iPhone 12 mini which is also a small size, most phones are much larger an don't really fit in front trouser pocket

Plus I like the square edge

A battery will cost you about £60 at an Apple Store, you can get cheaper but I prefer Apple fitting

If you want a small phone the iPhone 12 mini can be got for your budget.

13 mini, last small phone Apple made, will be more.

Buying second hand make sure the battery percentage is decent, I wouldn't go for anything under 90%

Choose someone that allows free returns within, say, 14 days.

I did replace a battery on an original SE model once.  Bit nervewracking.

Have you tried extending the charge time of your exsisting battery.
Discharge battery completly, use the torch to do this, then fully recharge plus four to six hours.
Try this a couple of times to see if it extends the time battery stays charged.
