Lights on a timer

agree with the above and in fact you might want to work out what the current consumption of your sensors are because they are on 24/7 365 days a year pulling power0

The times set are all personal. Basically,it works for us! One thing I see here on the majority of forums ( all topics)is the attitude of stripping everything down to *every* half penny,to use the absolute basic amount of everything and anything. As a rather poorly chap in a very old house, safety comes first, not that I have to give reasons. 🤣 So right now it’s another cup of tea,and I might even put a 100 ml too much water in the kettle!😆Alnat1 said:
20 minutes is a while for a bathroom light to be on every time someone goes for a quick pee that takes 1-2 minutes. Don't know how many in your household but this could perhaps mean an extra 18 minutes of unnecessary lighting being on a dozen or more times a day, 3-4 hours extra? If the lights stay on when they sense you are there, why not set both rooms for 2 minutes?mumf said:In our bathroom and kitchen are LED lights with timers. They are approach lights ,and we set them at twenty minutes. If you are there at the time,it simply stays on. Superb. The rest of the house is led too.2 -

I would counter that with Why Follow Forums , when your opinion is wasting energy ? Or am I missing something, didn’t think so. ⚡️born_again said:Seems to be a expensive solution to a non existent problem.
Changing bulb to a more efficient one, OK get that. But fitting sensor, when odds on you are walking past the wall or pull switch???
How the human race is evolving into becoming more lazy as time goes by. 🤷♀️As @cm4ever said. Wasting power, for no reason other than we can, can not be put any other way than laziness.🤦♀️
But each to their own 👌
Well this is Money Saving Expert forum
Not Money Spending Expert 🤣
As I said each to their own.

Can be linked to Alexa or Siri if you want voice command..I have one light in the utility room that people were in a habit of leaving on - Now linked via Home Assistant to turn off with the kitchen lights.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Yes, their advertising approach is certainly a bit steep, but I still consider it £4.29 well spent.QrizB said:Gerry1 said:"Scam" is a bit of a stretch.
