  • When we had our leccy re-modelled I asket the sparky to fit blanking plates everywhere and wire all the lights to be always on, you don’t need a switch if the off position doesn’t get used.

Seems to be a expensive solution to a non existent problem.
Changing bulb to a more efficient one, OK get that. But fitting sensor, when odds  on you are walking past the wall or pull switch???

How the human race is evolving into becoming more lazy as time goes by. 🤷‍♀️As @cm4ever said. Wasting power, for no reason other than we can, can not be put any other way than laziness.🤦‍♀️

But each to their own 👌
The people who owned our house previously to us fitted the sensors - nothing to do with us being lazy thank you! It would seem remarkably wasteful to have them ripped out and switches installed when in fact the sensors work just fine, just to avoid judgement from strangers on the internet! 😂

My light switches are all in really odd and inconvenient places. I suspect it may be cheaper to replace them with sensors than to relocate them to where they need to be, but I'm sure I'll find out.

I would counter that with Why Follow Forums , when your opinion is wasting energy ? Or am I missing something, didn’t think so. ⚡️

Bear in mind that the sensors consume electricity too, regardless of whether the lights are on or not. Might only be a Watt or 2 each but on 24/7.

Only cave persons stumble around in the dark looking for the light switches, And its not just 1 its in the corridor or bedroom as well, Its fine in the summer but all winter its a pain in the neck.
