I had similar with my Vaillant boiler. It sounded just the same as a frozen condensate pipe. As I recall it needed the internal condensate

jintyb said:@ThisIsWeird its cover for the whole system. Apart from the wee leak, the gurgling gets louder & louder till the pilot light starts flickering then cuts out. Had another shot at bleeding rads this afternoon, tiny amount of air, negligible really.Im going to get in touch with BG tomorrow. I’ll update on the outcome.Thanks for all your advice.Ok, so the problem is still there?Checking the tank in the loft should be on the list, then.And opening this wee fellow to see if any air comes out:0

@ThisIsWeird
I promised an update ; here goes.
Engineer out today, turns out first engineer hadn’t cleared the condensate pipe properly, so he gave it a good going over. The leak was simply a worn washer which he replaced. He checked all the pipes under the sink, found a significant blockage in the drain so he cleared some of it, we have to finish it with drain cleaner tonight. I had a feeling there was something going on there as my dishwasher was also making a weird noise when draining. I’m feeling a bit more confident, the guy left his name so if there’s any issues we can get the same guy out.
I can’t thank you and everyone else who has helped with advice. Fingers crossed, but at least Im finally warm!

We are having similar problems with our brand new WB Greenstar 4000 15Kw boiler. Worked fine for 3 weeks then started malfunctioning. Error codes 2951 / 227. How did your engineer clear your condensate pipe? Our claims he "isn't allowed" to rod it through or use compressed air due to the "glue used on the joints".ISO0
