Britannia Parking PCN

Hi,
I received a parking charge notice from Britannia Parking (registered BPA) and am adamant I paid at the pay & display (I saw it confirmed on the screen, but don't have a receipt). My son was with me at the time and he confirmed he saw the payment accepted via my credit card. There were 2 pay and displays side by side and the other one seemed to have problems and people couldn't pay.
Oddly, I checked my credit card and there were 2 transactions on that day. Both were logged as non-sterling transaction fees; one was for £0.59 and the other £0.37. The parking cost was £1. I have had no trips abroad, made no transactions in foreign currencies, etc. Am I clutching at straws thinking this might be payment for the pay & display? I have never seen this reference before and am baffled!
PB has provided photos of my entering and leaving the car park. I have asked BP to review the cameras at the pay & display to prove I made the payment, but I don't know if they have cameras. I have also asked them to confirm if other people received PCNs on that day at that machine.
I work with the car parking team at my job and I know systems can glitch. I have seen parking fines sent out when cars are on the system and people have paid. I normally take a photo when I pay but completely forgot on this occasion! A mistake I won't make again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Denise

Welcome!
Firstly:
Please post a photo of both sides of the PCN - with ALL DATES showing please - but data/car covered.Oddly, I checked my credit card and there were 2 transactions on that day. Both were logged as non-sterling transaction fees; one was for £0.59 and the other £0.37. The parking cost was £1. I have had no trips abroad, made no transactions in foreign currencies, etc. Am I clutching at straws thinking this might be payment for the pay & display? I have never seen this reference before and am baffled!Ring the credit card provider to ask what they are. They are either related to this or possible (unrelated) scam 'test debits' which precede a larger debit attempt.I have asked BP to review the cameras at the pay & display to prove I made the payment, but I don't know if they have cameras. They don't. Get angry and tell them to put up or shut up. Send them your redacted Credit card statement and tell them it looks like they took two small sums instead - a system glitch. Suggest it's them. See what they say.
Please show us both sides of the PCN please.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you for your advice. I will check with my credit card company. What does ‘tell them to put up or shut up’ mean in terms of a reply? D

It means "sue me or shut up"!
That's not the first Notice. A reminder is irrelevant so please delete that image as you may now get wrong advice based on it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That includes your name & address but here's a redacted version of the front page:That is a POFA compliant NTK.
Very interesting that they can operate at £50/£25 PCN levelsPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

OMG! I can’t believe I did that!I sent a reply to Brittania Parking and attached the two small charges (from my cc) explaining that was the payment they took for parking.
‘That is a POFA compliant NTK’ - does that mean it is lawful and I just have to pay?Thank you.0 -
You can click on the 3 dots and edit that post.
What makes you think anyone here PAYS a private PCN issued under the POFA? That's the polar opposite of all advice here.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

OMG! I thought I had sent a reply to the Parking Charge Notice but I can’t find it and there is a chance I didn’t press ‘send’. FYI I struggle with anxiety and often feel so overwhelmed I make a lot of mistakes, including posting my personal detail from the Parking Charge Notice!!!
So yesterday I received a letter from debt ‘notice of debt recovery’ and I am frozen in fear! I have never received anything like this before. I don't want someone to come to my home and frighten my children. I am literally petrified and shaking with fear. I have really f*cord up. Any advice?0 -
No need to be "frozen in fear" that's just a debt collectors letter begging you to pay them money they aren't entitled to, you don't have a debt only an alleged debt generated from a speculative invoice from a bunch of chancers. You won't get anyone visiting your house to bite the heads off your children stop panicking have you read the newbies thread on here yet where it is all explained.1
