Easyjet Iceland to Bristol 30 hour delay......

We were due to fly from Keflavik to Bristol on Tuesday 21st at 15.35. The inbound flight from Bristol was removed from the Bristol departures board about an hour before its scheduled take off.
Sitting in our hotel in Iceland we saw on the Keflavik departures board that our flight had been delayed by 30 hours and would now depart on Wednesday at 21.50.
Phoned Easyjet to be told that the flight could not operate on that day due to snow but to go to the airport and the ground crew would sort us out.
Upon arrival at Keflavik airport there was no snow but it was extremely windy. Some other Easyjet flights and some Wizzair flights were also cancelled / delayed. However many flights were operating as normal and the airport was open.
Easyjet provided a hotel plus an evening meal and breakfast the next morning. We were then bused back to Keflavik at 14.30 for a flight at 21.50. We were requested meal vouchers to cover the remaining 7.5 hours but these were denied. The flight eventually departed at about 22.30.
The weather on the Wednesday was also very poor with sleet and extreme wind but most flights on that day departed OK.
Do we have grounds for any other form of compensation please.

If you purchased meals during the 7.5 hours at the airport you should claim expenses for those from easyJet, will help if you have receipts.
Compensation for the delay will be harder. It would appear that easyJet will claim exceptional circumstances due to weather, and from what you say there does seem to be evidence that weather was a problem on the day. Seems strange you were told snow, although that could be as simple as a customer service agent seeing "weather" in the system and assuming snow because it was Iceland or similar.
All you can do is apply for compensation and see what their response is and take it from there.1
