14 days is totally irrelevant. You aren't paying.

You are correct, the Managing Agent is CGBA Robson. A letter or email to both of the contacts in this link explaining the situation and the delay in contacting them due to difficulty locating the Managing Agent:

    https://www.cbgarobson.com/uploads/1/0/6/4/106407181/complaints_procedure.pdf

As a genuine shopper who parked and spent money at local businesses, your use of the car park was entirely justified. I'm sure the managing agent will not want genuine shoppers to cut short their spending at their leaseholders just because the clowns at an aggressive parking company deems them unauthorised after three hours.

UKPC should be chucked off the estate and the parking replaced with a parking barrier where you pay for what you use. A complaint to Steve Barclay (local MP) via email would also be beneficial regarding shoppers being dealt unfair parking charges for using local shops.

Thank you ever so much @porridgestation for this! Just the info I was looking for, I have emailed both right now. Fingers crossed they can do something about it. I'm just hoping for a very swift response from them.

I'm assuming I should not appeal in the meantime?

My main worry is they will not help and I'll be left with a £100 charge that I definitely cannot afford. I understand @Coupon-mad what you're saying, but that is if you are prepared to go the whole way...

Of course you can go the whole way with this!  There's no risk.  You won't be paying.

You have 28 days to appeal. so plenty of time for PLAN A to work first.

I have had comment on this on a FB page I asked on and someone on there says basically I don't have much grounds for them the accept an appeal. As I say.. you can take it the whole way, if you are inclined to... But I feel like the hassle and stress for my mental health is not worth the long haul :(

Don't tell us, ex parking firm clamper Tony Taylor?!  Don't believe what you read on Facebook!  I never said appeal would work though. It won't.  It's not meant to!

There's nothing scary about ignoring the laughable £170 demands covered in post 4 of the NEWBIES thread.

Ignore them if the landowner won't cancel.

Ahh ok, I see. No not a Tony, it's a lady. Perhaps she's getting at the same thing, appeal won't work. Ignoring letters isn't the issue, it's the whole court thing etc... I reeeeally don't want to do that.

Is the 14 days from the 15th Nov mean it goes to £100 tomorrow, or after tomorrow? Or does it go by the 'charge issue date', which was the 18th?
    Many thanks

EDIT: I paid it :'( I feel so stupid about it but just got too scared and I couldn't handle the stress . I am on an extremely low income and the worrying about it going up to £100 and then if no-one could cancel it, the worry of going to court was keeping me up every night thinking about it and all I could think about in the day.
Sorry I couldn't see it through, I wish I was less of a wimp!!

I Hope others are better than me
At least I can now just focus on feeling happier on the run up to Christmas. Won't be going to that retail park again - A*holes.

No-one here does court when defending a UKPC claim filed by DCBLegal.

No hearings.  You don't go to court.

Have you missed Umkomaas' thread showing they are all discontinued at WS stage?  Dead easy.

The 28 days to appeal is counted from the date of the notice or the date is is deemed served.  Either way, you have AGES to get the landowner to kill this off.

Meanwhile, go there on foot and get some pics showing how unreadable the signs are from car seat height, or on foot.  That might make it worth a shot at POPLA.

I Panicked Keith, I was desperate for anyone to confirm if I had a day left or longer before rate increase, but had no response from anywhere I posted (before midnight), panicked and just thought stuff it, I'll just pay the damn thing just so I can get rid of the anxiety and stress. I wish I could be less of a worry wart! I do feel so bad (though also now relieved), I didn't want to give this thieving company a penny, but will avoid that retail park now out of spite and will be looking for signs ANYWHERE I park now *Sigh*

What's the betting now I get emails from the CBGA Robson people I emailed saying they can cancel it - that will be bloody typical lol

You paid? This is an unexpected outcome.

Oh dear. It wasn't a fine and wasn't a bill to be paid; paying just funds the scam industry that the Government says is 'extorting money from motorists'.

You would have paid nothing at all, whether or not the landowner cancels it.
