Complete Savings "Legal but crafty"

Thank you for responses.
I have just collected my purchase from Toolstation and gave the team a print out of the page I was ‘bounced ‘ to. Yes, bounced to. I did not click a link in the Toolstation order acknowledgement email. The staff (and I respect every one of them) previously oblivious to this new development. I have not personally seen this particular development before. I have already bounced a warning round a mailing list with a PDF copy of the page concerned so people can form their own opinion.
Had the kind offer been ‘on’ the Toolstation email itself in a neat little area which included full details of the generous offer, with tick boxes relating to a clearly specified monthly ££ sign-up, that would have been a different matter. Tick boxes referred only to the usual T&C. Depraved and deceitful in my view, as intended.
The Complete Savings domain name was registered in 2008 and therefore has been busy for a while. No problem with that as long as they behave ethically which in my view they are not. The company resolves to Switzerland.
Too often I am contacted by people who have been entrapped by such devices and I have to spend time helping them to recover losses. I have no time for people sucked in by obvious greed but there are still many people out there nervously feeling their way around online activity and not savvy to these dirty tricks.
NB: FYI I accessed the email via the PC I not anApps. Next time I order I will record each step carefully by keeping screenshots.

I took have just noticed that 3 payments have been taken from my account. The first 1, was £15 the 2nd & 3rd £20.
The next is due on the 20th which is too late to cancel with the bank & company and I don't have enough money to pay it as it is 2 days before my monthly payday.
[it was after 6pm & the following day Is Good Friday.]
That's how I knew it wasn't set-up by me because I always set my payment on the day after my money goes in to make sure everything gets payed.
So I'm just going to cancel the DD myself as I don't want to get charged for going past my overdraft which I don't want & recently asked the bank to reduce to a maximum they will allow to keep the Current Account.0 -

But this company are always good at paying back.
As far as bank goes, until you have cancelled & they take more after that, nothing they can do.
All I do is tell people to do exactly what you did & they get their money back 👍
Reality is it's not shady practise. It's made very clear in the tick box exactly what people are signup to. Thy even send email before the end of the free trial.
Shame people don't read it, only see the cash back offer 🤷♀️0 -

It's not a DD, it's a card payment.
Ring CS on the 0800 number. Explain & they will refund you.Life in the slow lane0 -
What surprises me is that the op didn't seem to check their statements against actual expenditure. Sure!y if they had they would have noticed The reduction sooner. I also find contactless use often doesn't provide a card receipt so how many people keep track of their expenditure is a mystery for me.0

I have now traced this back to Domino's Pizza, Apr 6th, but at no point during that transaction was I made aware that I was being signed up to this, I don't even know if I was "redirected" away from the Domino's app.
Needless to say, this "subscription" has now been cancelled and I will no longer be shopping at Domino's unless in person with cash.
Now I just need to wait for a new Debit Card to arrive.....1 -

No need for a new card, as they will get that number via the update system, Visa & Mastercard have.Life in the slow lane0 -
