Parking Fine Sainsburys/Euro Car Parks Ltd

On Friday I had a text from DRP Ltd about an overdue parking charge. As I had never heard of them and knew nothing of a parking charge I took it to be Spam & ignored it.
Today 22/11/23 I had a letter/notice dated 15/11/23 from Debt Recover Plus saying I had ignored previous letters & they had got my details from DVLA. I moved house in February & sent my Registration docs to DVLA it wasn't until my MOT was due in November that I realised I hadn't received new docs so I had to send off for a replacement document. No letters had been sent on to me from my old address so this was something of a shock. They tell me that I must pay £155 within 7 days (i.e. TODAY) I phoned but they had closed for the day. They are threatening advising their client to begin legal recovery & warn the charge my rise to £235.
There was only one time I can remember spending longer than usual at Sainsburys about 2-3 months ago (they say 9/8/23). I had been ill the night before but felt better in the morning so had a light breakfast & went off to do my shopping at Sainsburys & Homebase - both being on the same site. I spent about 1 1/2 hrs at Homebase then went on to Sainsburys. Half way through my shopping I felt unwell & spent some time in the toilet then sat on a chair for a while before paying for my shopping. A member of staff came over to see if I was OK. I got to my car & started it then realised that my blood/sugar had taken a dive & I was suffering a 'hypo' I needed to eat something to correct my blood/sugars. I went back into Sainsburys & bought a sandwich & went to eat it on a bench outside as I was pretty shaky. We are told to wait at least 30 mins before operating any machinery or driving to ensure that we were feeling well enough. When I recovered I got back to my car & drove carefully home. There was no notice or anything on my windscreen or car. I have no knowledge of any time limit on parking there. Is there twice the allowance for using both shops?? Where do I stand & what can I do?? Hope someone can advise.

What happens when you try?
It's very difficult to diagnose a problem with no information.
I've just checked. The thread is still there and accessible.
Have you read this thread also started today?...
Eurocar parks overstay
Coincidently, that thread is about a Sainsburys car park too.
And this post made at 10:34am today on the Successful Complaints thread should also encourage you...Leafy89 said:Euro Car Parks Parking Charge Notice cancelled by Sainsbury's Manager in Braintree, Essex. Spoke to Sainsbury's Manager in person with copy of my parking charge notice, copies of credit card statements proving I am a regular customer. Manager cancelled the notice whilst I waited and received a cancellation email from Euro Car Parks.0 -

On Saturday 19th October I spent over £20 at Sainsbury's Bromley as per rule to qualify for 2 hours free parking.I received a code from customer service which I validated at the car park machine outside shop. The machine screen does not show confirmation that this was done. The following week I received a Parking Charge Notice for £85, reduced to £50 if I paid within 14 days.I rang Sainsburys Bromley Customer Service and after choosing opt 1, then opt 9 (I think) managed to speak to a helpful person who told me to send screenshots of £22 payment to Sainsburys and PCNWithin half an hour I was told the PCN had been cancelled.5
