Eurocar parks overstay

Options
another day, another PCN arrived at our address, we are on some kind of a roll..

This one, from Euro Car parks, for a sainsburys car park - overstayed the limit of 2 hours, by 27 minutes.
I checked and signage in the car park is pretty clear, 2 hours max is mentioned on the signs, although not in particularly large font.

I have read newbies thread but still a bit unsure what my best wording to use for any appeal is here.
Is it still the case that if I lost at popla, eurocar parks would not take it further?

Thanks

Why are you thinking of doing an appeal first, instead of what the NEWBIES thread tells you is always Plan A?

ECP is easy to beat at POPLA though!

ok, will try appeal with the landowner first, but assuming that I will need to do an appeal to ECP anyway

No, you complain to the landowner and your MP, not appeal. That's Plan B.

just following up on this, so my first port of call is to complain to Sainsburys CEO and the store manager - although apart from the fact that I may take my custom elsewhere, I am not really sure what else I can use a reason for complaining

After how many days do I need to follow up with ECP?  It says 'payment must be made within 28 days of date of issue: 8/12/23'

Does it really say that? Check the date.

What other reason do you need? Especially if you are a regular customer and/or elderly or doing a big shop, or had another good reason why it took you a bit longer that day.

Make the complaints asap. If the charge has not been cancelled then appeal as per the template in blue text from the NEWBIES, but do not miss the appeal deadline which will be stated on the NTK.

i suspect the driver may have had a last minute change of plan and forgot where the car was parked, oops - but still they are a regular customer, just not on that particular day
