When to switch?

Hi all, my contract with Plusnet ends on Jan 2024 and is currently £24 a month.
Shell (and similar) are offering Black Friday deals at a similar monthly cost but include vouchers of up to £100, bringing the equivalent cost to £16-18 a month.
I’ve checked and I can sign up now for a switch in January, I know it’s crystal ball gazing but should I sign or wait until nearer the end date?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You can't usually specify a specific date for switch, it's usually 17 days or so affer you fill the form in, though there may be the odd exception. Those sort prices sound like its an ADSL connection, which will be surplus to requirements after 2025, so your hand will be forced to fibre.0

I was looking at the same deal and my contract expires on Dec 3rd. I suppose I can sign up now because by the time the service goes live the old one will be out of contract, or should I wait a bit longer?0

If your current deal ends December 3rd then now is the best time to start the switching process if you want to switch.

Shell are charging me £22.99 at the moment. Vouchers are nice if they go through (don't count on it theres always something that can and usually does go wrong in my experience if it doesn't track etc so treat it as a bonus)(you're lucky Plusnet are only charging £24 they were charging me £28 pcm after the april price increases and when the contract ended wanted £51. After I switched they were like "why did you leave us?!" and I was "I'll leave you to work that one out.")Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0
