Does anyone repair Tumble Dryers (if heat pump)

Our 2 year old tumble dryer has broken down (dos not heat), yet we can't get any local repair people to visit as they refuse to look at tumble dryers that use a heat pump (we've called at least 5!).  Has anyone got a repair on theirs, and who did they use?  Cheers

My husband is a big fan of YouTube videos -in 2020 he researched the make and model of our tumble drier, identified the fault and the part needed, then replaced the faulty part successfully. Took a few days with all the research, ordering parts ( and a couple of false starts!) but it's been fine ever since. He's done the same with the oven - twice.

Assuming the warranty has expired, the manufacturer may still offer to arrange a repair, often for a fixed price. We used similar for our dishwasher as we had a feeling the required fix would need expensive parts and the fee charged would work out as being quite reasonable. They'll almost certainly try to use it as an opportunity to flog you repair cover through Domestic & General, but just say no if you don't want it!
