If you're a Shell Energy broadband and home phone customer, you should urgently check you're not overpaying, as the provider has been fined £1.4 million by the regulator for failing to notify around 65,000 customers that their contracts were ending. The firm has also refunded more than 6,000 customers who were overcharged after being quoted the wrong price in their end-of-contract notifications.

I've been with SHELL for ages, no complaints, I'd happily give them 5 stars. They told me quite a while ago I was OOC, but at £21.99pm what's not to like ! There is a new provider GIGACLEAR coming to our area very soon and at £17pm for 18 months I'm thinking of changing when SHELL sells to Octopus ! I do like the little perks with SHELL, so will miss those.0

I switched toshella couple of weeks ago having been lured in by £187 worth of rewards. Their customer service is appauling. Turns out I got slammed on Tuesday and havent had internet since as they cancelled off my account. Was told I'd just have to sign up again but all they could offer is a £50 gift card. I've held my ground and submitted a complaint. Complaints dept is a lot more helpful and said that what the first line customer service told me was wrong. I did gave to say that I was prepared to take this as far as I need to to actually get on the right path. Waiting for a call about being reinstated at the moment. Hopefully if that all goes through my rewards will be safe as they check in part way into the contract to make sure I'm still there. Luckily I'm not working this week but its still really inconvenient.
