yep log book is rightCoupon-mad said:Of course, they must have got the right one because this recent letter reached me.Nope. Not the case.
In my reply I already explained what they did. They traced you.
Yes there were two letters within a fortnight. Before this one.
Have you actually checked the address on the logbook? Changing a driving licence is not it.0 -
UncleThomasCobley said:It is not unknown for these scammers to deliberately fail to send initial letters. Not that you can prove it.
A massive failing in the law that allows these invoices to form part of an alleged contract with extra fees supposedly becoming liable based on critical dates with no proof of posting required. It is also a failing that this has not been addressed by the DLUHC in the upcoming PPCoP bill.
Just being a regular Reaser of this forum, it is fairly obvious that the number of victims of these scams who never receive the initial notices is way above the average for missed Royal Mail deadlines. It is certainly way above any average for post that goes missing.
If I had the time, I'd use this forum to research the number of posters who claim never having received the initial notices which have up to dat V5C addresses.
Im beginning to wonder that. 2 letters not arriving seems a bit strange....0 -
Ah OK. Very odd then to miss a PCN and reminder. Anyone in the household likely to have thrown the PCN away wrongly thinking you can ignore these?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Which is fair enough. I'd hope they wouldn't be that dodgy.fisherjim said:"Now they're saying £100 fine....."I absolutely guarantee you they never said that in any letter or signage!Parking Eye are many things undesirable, but they don't play around with ghost letter sending, there must me as CM said other reasons why the initial letters never arrived.
At the moment now though they're being totally unreasonable. They're attitude is we sent the letters, no we don't have to prove it, tough luck you didn't get them, not our problem, pay up or else.
I've told them Im happy to sort this out but they're just not interested.0 -
Transfer liability to your wife is another option if landowner complaint FIRST doesn't work.[Deleted User] said:Not had an initial letter at all that ParkingEye claim to have sent.
Now they're saying £100 fine or else and I've lost my right to appeal because its gone 28 days.
It was my wife. She says the ticket machine was problematic but she thought she paid. I'll have to check.
What are my rights though now? Can I still appeal?
That way, she gets a fresh PCN at the original rate and can pay at the discount or appeal, which you will otherwise be denied.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You mean tell them I was driving not her?
Cars in her name and she was driving it.0 -
Throughout this thread you have created the impression that this is your PCN.[Deleted User] said:You mean tell them I was driving not her?
Cars in her name and she was driving it.
Your opening post uses phrases like "I've lost my right to appeal", "What are my rights", "Can I still appeal".
Please forgive us for thinking you are the Registered Keeper.2
