Paint mark

I had one of those splash air freshers which automatically sprays. I believe it’s left a mark on wall. Cant for sure as I’ve had many small wet marks appear despite getting the house professionally painted in March. So I painted over the mark around six times now it’s better I can still see a faint line. Can’t really fully redecorate for one mark how can I remove it? If the paint has discoloured might be nothing I can do?

Stainblock is the way forward - Ronseal do it, sold in tubs like ordinary paint. You'll probably need to go over it with the original emulsion once dried.0

Thanks. I had someone out today used a primer stain killer white paint. Marks look better but he says needs a second coat can still see a few marks? Bit worried that won’t solve it? He says the whole small poach needs repainted to match up0

Still a faint mark? Maybe if he comes back for a second coat? Seemingly it will get a quick dry prime tomorrow0

Still faint mark maybe second coat and repaint?0

So the painter wanted to paint entire lot so I said no he charged £50 pounds just to prime wall. I gave it a second coat and on close inspection i can still see a faint mark. Now he checked for damp and there’s none. It’s a brick wall poach. So I paid for this guy to fix it and he’s failed to correct it. Visually it looks fine but as i day if you bend over and check it there’s a paint mark still. Makes me wonder if it’s the paint that’s discoloured as I had other areas of paint go the same way and nothing would remove them stains? I wonder if it would need some filler or plaster to fully remove it? I mean don’t get me wrong you can’t see the stain much only if being particular but £50 seems alot for something he failed to fix fully.0

Based on the general state of the skim and the other finishes, id hihgly suggest you ignore it and move on with your life, its really not worth the effort.

Ok the BIN primer paint seems to smell strong. Anybody know if the smell lingers as long as paint? And tbh I don’t think this product helped really0

You mention using one of those automatic air dispensers, was there are reason for that, where you trying to mask a damp smell in the porch area.1
