Prepayment cost

It’s prepayment. I don’t have to submit readings. The IHD shows my electric and the top up goes on automatically. The gas doesn’t show, never has and when I top up I have to manually go outside and enter the code into smart meter, and also have to go outside each time to see how much is left. Electric is all on IHD and that’s fine. I spoke with British Gas this morning and they said they aren’t getting meter readings from us and may be a fault with comms hub, would this cause me to use all the money on gas? I will reply this evening with the meter reading again so it’s 24 hours
elec is £80pm for me, gas last months around £280. In the summer months it was completely off and gas was around £60pm0 -

It's surprising we both have the same issue with the BG prepayment meter and credit use.0 -

todays reading - 03146.624m3 £200.37 left on gasThanks for that. You've used 5.366 cubic metres of gas, which is roughly 60kWh worth. You've said your gas tariff is:Safeguard PAYGv2 - GASStandard (PP) unit rate 6.616 p per kWhStanding charge 34.209p per dayAt 6.616p/kWh that's £3.97. Sanding charge is about 34p so call it £4.31 for the day. However, your meter has deducted £10.03 of credit in the same period. If there is no debt on your meter to recover, it certainly looks as though there's something screwy going on.Pleas keep taking readings daily, at about the same time, and contact your supplier to see if they can explain what on earth is going on!N. Did it run out and use emergency credit?0

Thank you for your help I appreciate it. I knew something wasn’t right. I contacted British Gas this morning and they did say they’re not receiving meter readings. It hasn’t ran out or gone into emergency credit. 2 days ago I topped up £200 and there was £10 left on. No idea. They told me to wait 14 days and then someone will come out, I’ll keep you updated on what happens1
