We had an inset day today, an afternoon of learning to deal with behaviour.....interesting. Apparantly, there should be consistency through the school to deal with these things, who knew!!! Let's see how tomorrow goes.13
-
- went to zumba; thought I was going to be late as just as I was getting my coat on, my Mum rang to say that her tablet and computer weren't working. I tried to tactfully explain that one does not rely on the other....and suggested her tablet may be blank if the battery is totally flat. No suggestions on the PC in the millisecond I had before leaving.
- plumber arrived, hurrah. Good news is that he can do the work but only once the conservatory has been demolished - we thought he'd do it before they started. Worse news was the price; about double what we'd hoped (which we accept was probably far too optimistic). However, Mr N rang the conservatory installers and they agreed that if the plumber came early on day 2, he could go ahead.
- cue frantic dismantling of various parts of the conservatory; had to break one pot with a hammer to remove a Hoya (climbing plant which actually likes to be cramped) from the wall. Now I've re-potted it, I expect to be greeted by a Triffid tomorrow now it has all those new vitamins from the compost.
- Made a small flower arrangement with leftovers.
- continued with very complicated report.
- wrote birthday card for a friend, ready to be posted tomorrow.
- rang restaurant to pay deposit for Christmas eve meal; emailed them our meal choices.
- rang Mum nervously for updated IT progress; hurrah the tablet is now working. After putting my 'patient teacher' skills to good use, I established that the PC was working but without internet. Directed her to the diagram on the router info to find out where the on/off switch is so she could turn it off.......she nearly exploded with excitement as (for no apparent reason) the green lights came on and the PC went alive with new emails. Relief....for today. I'm not moaning though, she does very well with technology for a 92 yr old ex nurse who's never worked in an office; it is just frustrating for both of us when the tech does something she doesn't expect.
- went to new zumba class in the village. I enjoyed it, more like the old zumba (my morning one is zumba gold which is a bit sedate) but there were only 2 of us so I don't know how long it will keep running.
My list from last week is finished but there will be flying and all sorts to do this week.

Morning all
Cuppa in bed here before I start the day proper. I am going to write a ‘would like to achieve’ list for the rest of the week, nothing too taxing but all small things that will mount up to a bigger sense of achievement if done.I am keeping on top of the basics, which includes Woodburner clearing out each day now and re-lighting.Piggers - how can we help? I’m sorry you’re so worn out. Have you heard anything about DLA yet? We keep receiving ‘you don’t need to chase us, we’re 15 weeks lead time’… letters.
Hugs to all xx13 -
Morning all.
I am up early on my last day of annual leave as there is nothing like a dog trying to be sick to get you out of bed. Disappointingly we didn't quite make it to the back door but the stair carpet had now been cleaned.
I will potter about today and report back later with progress.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.13 -
Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast and I'm supping my brew. It must be a go to work day!
I've phoned to order my repeat prescription. Hmmm. I'll need to work out when to order / pick up next month .....🤔
I'll feed the birds, put out the recycling, put my parking permit in my car and go to work via the window cleaner's to drop off his money.
Have a good day

Morning all
At outswim cancer yesterday I chatted to a lady on the same drug regime and she’s pointed me to a support group on FB, which i’ve joined (it’s for the drug that makes me go)…I’m not sure if I should have though. I now read about lots more side effects…including people losing weight because they can’t eat many foods…and various other side effects which I haven’t got.
Not at work today so i may well fly.
DW x 1, WM x 1 and TD x. so far

Me again. I am bathed and dehaired, dressed and ready to face the world on the dog walk.
Since my last post I have also watered indoor plants, freshened the sofa covers, washed up breakfast dishes, checked banking (and breathed again as work have finally paid back expenses), changed bedding, dusted flat surfaces in bedroom, put dry washing away, cleaned shower and bath and s&sd rest of bathroom. Washing machine is now whirring with first of three loads.
Third cuppa being slurped.Spend less now, work less later.12 -

Morning all
I have freed up my spoons and sent them gently flying northwards for you, Piggers.
My flying hat has been firmly stuck to my head this morning. Bedding changed, bed remade. Wm still running with bedding in it. DD’s bed partly remade (got distracted, must go back up…), HHI done, dusted where I could see around the house, upstairs vacuumed. Next job is to clean the back bedroom windows where DH has apparently been practising his tennis moves with the fly swat.
I am dropping DH in the next village later for him to meet up with ex-work colleagues. Like Mr Pigpen, he needs to get out of the house. Maybe not as much as I need him to though….12
