kaz - no problem. I live in social housing. It's in the contract that I have to maintain the property's boundary.....even if that's just two lengths of wire strung through the fence posts. I'm lucky that my neighbours on either side and at the bottom of the garden have put up good sized fences which make my back garden private....and maintain the boundary. If I want to make the back of the house more secure ...it's open to all and sundry from the front....it's down to me. I've not bothered before, but then NN put up their own security gates and I have serious gate envy. Who knew that was even a thing! His gates are more expensive than I expected though....so maybe not.
I'm in my pjs, cabinned in. Wondering what to have for my tea.

Didn't feel like doing much today. Went to a shopping centre and although I don't like shopping centres, this one has both a Waitrose and an M&S. Their entrances are at either end of the car park so I go to one and then drive to the other end of the (very large) car park to the other, which makes it easy. Came home and made lunch. Washed up lunch and breakfast pots and later binge-watched Four in the Bed, which is rubbish TV I know but sometimes.....I bought an amaryllis in Waitrose and was irritated to discover that it wasn't already planted and you have to soak a disc of compost and then plant it. I should have checked as this can be a messy business in a flat. The M&S ones are planted in the compost so all you do is take them out of the box and water them.9

Thank you for the thread as ever.Another night in the WAC, during which I managed to convince myself that I was really ill, on my last legs, boiling hot and many other such ailments. Over dramatic, moi? Never! Set the wm going before I left for work so that DH could sort out a drying system. Dinner this evening was a pre-prepped lasagne that I made yesterday afternoon, so I think I might have actually managed to do something from the Monday list for a change. Popped into Mr W on my way home to get a click and collect, so something else off a list (unfortunately it was off DH’s list, not one of mine). Thank you, Round, for the National List Day extension to a week - any chance of a fortnight? No, I’ll just keep quiet now…
Thank you for the pm, Natty x11 -

Clothofgold, I like to watch Four in a bed now and then xx (nearly worded that differently and it sounded so (wrong)), not the way I meant!!!12 -
Evening all
Thanks for the list @Valli.
Quiet day today... had a bit of a disturbed night last night so went back to bed for half an hour about 11am just to rest my eyes a bit.
I have to note that I've rediscovered dippy-eggs. How did I ever forget them? I have started cooking a fried egg and serving it on a slice of well-buttered toast for breakfast occasionally in the last week. It tastes so good and reminds me so much of times past!
When I was in my late teens and still at home with the parents, that was my go-to midnight snack on getting back from the pub on a Friday night. Dippy-egg (i.e. soft-boiled) on well-buttered toast eaten while watching some sort of late horror film (black and white - I seem to remember Vincent Price starred more than once!) on the TV (talking mid-late 1970s here...)
Anyone remember that old spoof series "Soap" with the Tates and the Campbells that ran around that time?
Today I've sorted out the fridges (cleaned them, disposed of out of date stuff etc.) as it's household rubbish and food waste bin day tomoz. I also baked a loaf of bread from scratch, did beef stew in the slow cooker for dinner and decluttered some emails...
Hugs to those who need them xxx

Evening ladies! Well, I arrived home and two of the girls in season had a punch up, so I've spent most of the evening cleaning and dressing wounds. I've dosed the more worse off of the two with painkillers and sprayed all hurt areas with an antiseptic second skin to help avoid any infection...sigh...why are hormones such a PITA?
Needless to say, we had frozen "hunt the meat" supermarket pies with oven chips for tea. Nobody enjoyed dinner. Sat down with a cuppa and woke up 2 hours later....grr...why does this happen mid-evening!? I've got nothing done and I'll be awake in the early hours!
WM and TD both on second load and so I now have eleventy hundred socks to pair.
No actual flying done.
