Doing a Declaration of Trust myself

Hello,
A year ago, my partner and me bought a property which registration has not been completed due to delays and mishandlings of the solicitors that we hired. We were buying the property as Tenants in common and, discussing with them the delays on the registration, we have found that we need to sign a Declaration of Trust that will reflect the respective shares of each of us.
I have asked the solicitors a quote for doing this, but I think that the price that they are going to charge will exceed by long the trust that we have on them. Looking at quotes of other solicitors, I have found a couple of websites in which you can do the Declaration of Trust yourself by simply filling a template. One of the websites explain that the process is as simple as paying for the word document template, complete the empty fields and after they review the document it becomes legal.
It looks too good to be true as the price of the template is a fraction of a fraction of what my solicitors will request. I would like to ask if someone used these kinds of services, what was their experience and if it is truly a recognised legal process and not just buying a word document for a few pounds. By the way, if you have any recomendation of website with this service feel free to send me a DM.
Regards

If it had been done correctly during the purchase it was simply a matter of recording the percentages on the TR1 form section 10. A separate Deed was not necessary. If the correct percentages were not recorded or if you wish to change them then a Deed of Trust will be required. It is a simple document so there is no reason why it should not work from a tempate. It is effective as soon as it is signed and LR do not record percentages (other than on the initial TR1) so no registration or other work is needed unless it is to alter the split of rental income.0
