How often do you need money is 5 seconds or 1 hour.
I like near instant access but it’s not a necessity.
I have regular savers, isa’s that I can access in a few day with low penalties and easy access.
In over 50 year I’ve never needed thousands of pounds in 3 minutes.
If the worst comes to the worst I bang on my credit card.
If you like to make the most of your money you will keep as much as possible in the highest interest accounts. I keep most of mine in Chase savings. I keep a smaller amount in Chase current. So if suddenly I need to spend more than is in my current I need instant (like now!) money moved from Savings to current.
To be fair, if you want to want the most of your money, you wouldn't keep it in Chase savings.Their rates started off on an amazing level but haven't been competitive for nearly 2 years now. There are several true instant access accounts which pay a lot better than Chase. Granted, you might need to quickly use a different app to get the money transferred to where you need it, but I am very happy that those alternative accounts are much better value than the Chase savings accountd.
