Wizz Air- What to do

Hello.
My sons Wizz Air flight yesterday was over 5 hours late reaching Skopje after leaving Luton several hours after scheduled departure time.
They were sat on plane for 3 hours whilst they tried to fix the plane and then everyone took off plane whilst they sought replacement aircraft.
Is it best to use a claims company to sort out the compensation delay or is it easier to go directly to Wizz Air and how much should he receive.
Thanks.

No need to use a claims company, initially at least (Wizz aren't renowned for their customer service) - just go to the claim page on their website and submit there. Compensation for a >3 hour delay on a flight between 1500 and 3500km is £350, assuming that the airline doesn't claim that it was caused by extraordinary circumstances beyond their control (technical issues are deemed to be within their control).1

Leave your son to make the claim via his 'Your WizzAir Account' on the airline website.1

Just an update.
As advised son went through Wizz Air to claim , only did it on Sunday and today received payment direct into his bank for the random amount of £349.88.
Many thanks for the 2 replies on this thread.0 -
Thats awesome. I found Wizz Air to be unexpectedly speedy and efficient in processing my claim this summer too.1
