Ignore that and wait patiently for you appeal rejection.activist3 said:Good afternoon! Just to say I have had the response to the appeal which is basically saying I can’t appeal because I haven’t named the driver! They want either a signed statement from the drivers details or I have to pay?
Please can you show us a picture of that letter?

Dear VCS,
I'm not appealing 'on behalf of' the driver. I'm exercising my right to appeal as the registered keeper.
However, I won't be using the appalling IAS 'kangaroo court' which the DLUHC is killing off in 2024, so you can either accept my appeal or reject it. I decline your invitation to name the driver.
See you in court, so don't send the case to a tedious debt collector and don't add £70, described by the DLUHC as 'extorting money from motorists'.
How are you getting on with addressing the 'market failure' issue your industry labours under? Maybe you should concentrate on that, eh?
Meanwhile I'm reporting you to the DVLA for making naming the driver a condition of having an appeal farce considered. The industry was reminded in 2014 by the DVLA and BPA that you can't refuse to let keepers appeal, which is sharp practice.
yours faithfully,
Your namePRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
