Question about electronic isa

I’m wanting to transfer an isa which will be done electronically. I was looking to transfer to West Brom but at the end of the application it stated that I would need to print off and sign a form with the details of who I’m transferring from to send to them.I thought it was all done electronically .
Wondering if others have had to do this when doing electronic transfers.

West Bromwich are on this list of banks and building societies who use the BACs ISA transfer service so presumably the provider you're currently with isn't ?

Both need to be on the list for a transfer to be called out electrically.

When I reached the end of the application where it stated I would need to print and sign a form I hadn’t said where the transfer was coming from.
The reply from dunstonh saying not all providers accept no signature could be the reason. I’ll give them a ring tomorrow and see what they say0 -
who is your ISA currently with? It sounds like it is the current provider that doesn't support electronic transfer0

The ceding ISA manager is entitled to require a signed transfer authority from the customer as evidence of the customer's instructions. It's rare these days that it is needed, but West Brom may collect it as a precaution.hamski said:When I reached the end of the application where it stated I would need to print and sign a form I hadn’t said where the transfer was coming from.

My current isa is with M&S bank, both are listed as using the electronic system. I think the replies from dunstonh and Masonic answer my question. I thought that providers doing electronic isas didn’t require any paper work.0

I had an easy access ISA with Swansea Building Society and wanted to transfer elsewhere. Both organisations used electronic transfer but when Swansea Building Society received the request to transfer from Lloyds Bank (no signature required) they wrote to me with a form to sign and return by post (not email) before they would send the funds electronically0
