    If you've sent the correct documentation, why won't they accept it?  What did they say when you asked them?

    (Are you certain that a "GP surgery letter" is acceptable?)

    I'm sorry, I was trying to query why you sent a "GP surgery letter" when the DVLA list is clear on what is accepted. And you had similar problems back in August.

    Did you speak to anyone at DVLA who said your letter was acceptable?

    I have spoken to the DVLA on numerous occasions and was informed this was acceptable bearing in mind that they also mentioned it is hit and miss whether it is rejected or not.

    Don't you have a photocard driving licence (easiest), recent gas, electricity, water or landline bill? A recent bank or building society statement or council tax bill for current year? All of them are on the list and should therefore get accepted without risk of "hit or miss".

    I've spent a lifetime dealing with jobsworth bureaucracy (the UK is particularly good at this) to know that "computer says no" as soon as you go off piste.
