Hello, two questions as Monzo are closing my account for no reason, makes a good time to move out of Chip 4.84%

1) Can anyone tell me how quick it is to open an account for the 5.22%, I had a nightmare with Coventry who insisted on me having to go into branch with ID, and posting paperwork that kept getting lost that I simply could have printed myself and brought into branch, thus not wasting 3 weeks.

2) Would this particular account trigger a credit check as some savings accounts don't? This is my flat deposit money and could be buying anytime, so trying to avoid hard searches.
