That appears to depend on which customer service person you get to speak to. I'm going belt and braces and doing both.rbailss said:
I was pretty sure you needed to make the card payments with the physical card & you can't use apple pay? For the advanced account & global account - correct me if i'm wrong.prettyandfluffy said:
Don't forget you also need to make 5 payments from the global money account - you can add it to Apple Pay from the HSBC app so you don't have to wait until the physical card arrives.Smokeyone said:Still waiting for my second telephone security letter so I called HSBC again - after pressing the various security options the line cut off - tried again, success, spoke to a very helpful lady and all sorted, my choice of telephone security number and voice id.I already transferred £1500 into the account and used the debit card five times.Have downloaded the app, transferred over £250 to the global money account and ordered the card.Let's see what happens next ...0 -
I have done a mixture of apple pay & actual transactions. Do online puirchases count? Just bought a phone case from ebay using it for like £2.99.prettyandfluffy said:

The security code is very difficult to see. It is on the peel off strip but if you hold it up to the light it will look blank. What I did was place it on a piece of white paper as instructed, I could just about make out some numbers in very light grey lettering so I shone a light from my phone at an angle on it and I could just about read the full code number.0

No, could not see anything at all on mine or my OH's despite doing similar to you.stevephoto said:The security code is very difficult to see. Just to mention that I have now received the £125 offer in to my global money account but still waiting to receive the actual card through the post.

You can use it now via ApplePay if you use it, go to the app and select "add card to ApplePay" and it will add the card to your wallet even though you don't have the actual card.Smokeyone said:Just to mention that I have now received the £125 offer in to my global money account but still waiting to receive the actual card through the post.0
