Just checked and got the Loop voucher on 25th April last year so should be any day now. I was with Octopus this winter and one of the advantages of their scheme is you get paid as you go along, usually about 10 days after each event, and their payments are more generous too.

I wonder what will happen later this year - will the scheme run again and if so will it be live events only or will the testing continue? And what will the rewards be like? I got the impression that this fizzled out towards the end as the novelty of making pennies wasn't enough to persuade people to persevere.
NGESO do intend to continue running the scheme, most likely for next winter in a similar sort of fashion to last. This is however subject to Ofgem approval, but that hasn’t caused any issues so far. Test events of some description are likely if nothing else just to ensure suppliers are functioning correctly and boost engagement in preparation for possible live requirements.

Long term they do want to have a service available that fulfils the role of DFS in allowing an opportunity for the average consumer to take part in grid balancing for reward without requiring the full commitment of a ToU tariff. This may not necessarily be in the form we see DFS today, but does mean we might expect the format of DFS to shift or be replaced with a more generalised system over the coming few years.

It did it last winter with Hugo, and they only pay though paypal. For the amount I saved, reacquainting myself with paypal after 20 years seems like a hassle. If I did it again I'd only do it through an energy supplier that can credit my  account or pay it into my bank account.

There does seem to be a problem with the scheme: it creates a perverse incentive to move usage into the peak period.
