Sky mobile signal data etc.
For the last 4 weeks have had no mobile Alwinton fi data as there is an issue with a local mast
The next update is due 23rd Nov.
When I asked Sky why it wouldn't connect to another mast eg200 miles away they said it will stay connected to my local mast(home) and it won't be able to access any other?,is that correct?.
Another one on contract wise,is 2 months acceptable for no service with no end date insight
Thanks

The radio waves used by a mobile only travel at most a few miles. It will connect if there is another mast in range but certainly not 200 miles.
In this situation wifi calling would take over, at least while you were at home. But Sky could neverget that working on my own phone.
At the root of your problem is O2, the network operator have either made some changes or have an unresolved fault. Stuck in that situation myself this time last year an unable to use my phone at all at home, I switched to another network where wifi calling actually works, so even if I had no signal at home, I could make and receive calls via wifi calling.0
