Its just annoying , I admit I got used to 5inch phones eventually but the 6.5 ones are just too big , especially if you have small hands.
Cant believe moto  nokia or samsung dont do any mini models anymore.
They don't do them because they don't sell. Apple  only wanted 4" iPhone until they saw the sales of their competitors selling larger devices and then jumped on the bandwagon

Yes a lot of people bought them including me but not enough

Why do think there are hardly any small 4" phones on the market ? They don't sell in a big enough quantity

I prefer a small phone as it fits better in my front trouser pocket, it's safer there

Not so good for browsing but I do that on my iPad or Macbook

    More space for hardware?
    Bigger battery?

I personally can't go back to small screen.

You can blame that on Steve Jobs, he killed off every phone till they found a way to copy the iPhone
No more originality these days! They have such a monopoly now. Anything else is just a fad like those touch screen flip phones that they have brought back.

I have both iPhone 12 mini and SE both have square edges which I prefer

Comparing them 1 on top of the other

The SE is about 5mm shorter and narrower than the mini

I look after my phones, both in excellent condition and I have kept the SE as a spare just in case

There have been at least 3 versions of the SE and I think only the original had squared edges.

The current model SE looks more like the iPhone 7/8 and is still available new.

  • yes the Se2020 is similar to iphone 8 has a glass back and slightly heavier than iphone 7.
has anyone here tried both iphone 7 and 8 and can compare the size/weight, apparantly due to the glass the 8/se 2020 is heavier.

I have used both, but not at the same time, I don’t really recall feeling the 8 to be much heavier.

FYI, the newest iPhone SE was released in 2022, and is 5G capable, it uses much the same internals as the iPhone 13.
