Is that a wifi extender or a powerline extender?

Is the TP extender a WiFi or ‘ powerline’ type extender, ?,
The all important question.  I found the TP WiFi extender pretty rubbish.

    Any advice please?
If your daughter is the only one affected, it's down to her/you to sort it out. Powrline extenders are likely to be the cheapest option, but mesh might be more versatile.

It seems unfair when the house is let to 7 students all paying £20 per week for bills but only her room is affected.
Life isn't fair. An important lesson for someone to learn when living away from home for the first time.

Powerline extenders would probably be your best bet as long as there’s a spare plug socket next to the router.

Powerline type extenders use the building electrical system to transmit data from one extender to another (or multiple). Therefore you’d need a pair, one plugged into a socket by the router and connected by Ethernet to it then another in your daughter’s room. Due to this you’d need a spare socket beside the router although some do have a pass through so you can plug another electric device into them therefore only using one socket but these can be more expensive.

Something like these should work: https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/powerline/tl-wpa4220-kit/
