Trust bank account advice please!

I have a disabled persons trust for my daughter and now need to open a trust bank account. I’m not keen on Metro given the financial difficulties they have had. I know of Cater Allen though would need to pay for an introduction which we would do as a last resort but I just want to see if there are any other banks or building societies who offer trust bank accounts. I read that Skipton may do?

Thanks very much

Eve

I was going to suggest Skipton.
  • I am with skipton and need to move to cater allen
Skipton is a building society and won't pay people 3rd party from my trust account. I was told everything has to be paid from the trust not from outside of it so it's not suitable because it can only be transferred into trustees accounts which they had to open and are outside of the account.
My son is looking at flipping houses and rentals to increase the money I received for personal injury but we can't do that with skipton which is annoying because it clearly states in the trust docs that was the type of trust account this was for but they are saying they are a building society

Plus when I got nowhere with staff in store they told me to ring head office they have a dedicated trust account team. So I rang them and they said no one is allowed to speak to them. I asked to make an appointment with them they said no they don't speak to people ha ha...

I NEED a financial advisor for a referral to cater Allen but I invested 150,000 with skipton. I just need to transfer the rest... So just a referral.

I assume the issue is that the money is in a savings trust account with Skipton, as they are not a bank where you can have a current account.  Savings accounts can only pay out to the owner of the account.

I know trust accounts are hard to find, but could be worth asking on the banking forum, which has a lot more activity than this one.
