Android phone

Hi Guys
I have an Android phone and at the top where it show your signal i keep getting a telephone with a 1 by the side of it.
Any ideas what it is i thought it was something to do with the the answer phone but everytime i check it says there no messages....Its also a dual sim one Smarty+EE.

perhaps as a dual SIM phone its showing slot no1 is the active SIM for data. You can only get data on one SIM

yes that is exactly right it shows you which SIM is active - if you chose SIM number two then you would see a phone with a 2 by it

Usually both SIMs are available for calls/texts, for data only one, indicated by a 4G etc beside the signal bars of the active data SIM. A telephone icon is more likely to refer to calls somehow, but I've never noticed such on any android phone I've used. Is it intermittent, not always showing..?

On my samsung s20 it denotes your wifi calling on sim 1,or sim 2.
I have a dual sim phone,sim 1 is three which allows wifi calling,and sim 2 is RWG and they do not have wifi calling yet,so il get no sevice on that sim,if signal drops

What make/model of phone? The symbols differ between different UIs.

Something like this (the one the arrow is pointing at) but with a 1 instead of 2?

That's indicating you are getting wifi calling via your sim 2 connection.

In your case you are showing a 1 so it's via your sim 1 connection.

Indeed, so the icon the OP mentions is a Wi-Fi calling active indicator for sim 1.

Hi Guys 
Thanks for all your response's i turned off the wifi-calling and its stopped so has you said it was the wifi-calling.
