I was going to suggest this. Also, if the contribution the parents are making to household expenses is over the increase in household costs, why not use the surplus to pay for a gardener or domestic help in the shared areas, too?gwynlas said:If they have their own rooms then they could justify having domestic help to clean, change bedding etc as well as laundry and ironing.1 -
Have you considered an Attendance Allowance application for one or both of your parents? It is not means tested and could help pay for the changes that are needed. The money is to help pay for equipment and care but you don’t have to show what you spend the money on.1
