In my experience Paragon's fine. Paragon's been around for a while now and has specialised in buy to let mortgages but is expanding into other areas. It's a FTSE250 listed bank, LSE:PAG.tiger135 said:thanks aldemore looks good despite being just under 5% . heard of them , whereas paragon i have not.1 -
The only problem I have with the rebranded card is a little embarassing in a way. The what I believe is braille on the front of the card goes through to the back of the card. I managed to get my signature to go through 2 of the "holes" & it looks a real mess. Other than that a card is a card is a card.

Thank you. Just before I start sending transfers. Can I ask when I want the money back, I just log in to said account and withdraw the whole lot to my nominated account. Which they should do quickly and calculate the closing interest also. No reason for any delays at this point?0

Typically with these smaller banks, one working day delay. No withdrawals at the weekend.tiger135 said:Thank you. Just before I start sending transfers. tiger135 said:Hi I am moving away from nationwide, I stuck with them due to loyalty but their savings offers 4.25% where as there are many over 5%.
Their awful rebranding exercise has made me decide to move!
I have opened virgin 5.12 and virgin cash isa 5.08 i think and put 50k/20k respectively.
I have also opened cahoot and will put in 50k.
I was half tempted to just use virgin as I cant see them going bust in the next year or two.
I will be investing most of the 180k into property in the next year or two.
So what next, I can see paragon, cynergy and close bros has accounts but they arent well known to me.
Also skipton who has a branch in my town.
I just want an easy to set up one to put in another 50k, at least cahoot is santaders online division.
Any recomendations for one more account?
Ulster Bank loyalty saver at 5.2%, wife and I both opened these recently, true easy access with 5k min.
