No 4g on newer Samsungs

Options
On a voxi sim only deal. I have used the sim for a few years in refurbished phones to keep the cost down.
I've gone from Samsung S8 to S10 to Pixel 5 with no issues at all.
Thought I'd move to a Samsung S21 but no matter what I tried, I could not get 4g... just stuck on really slow "H" status.  Checked APN settings many times. Factory reset.  New sim.... Nothing worked. Yet I can pop the sim into any of my older phones and the signal is great again. I put it down to the mobile so returned the S21 and got a S21fe instead.... Same issue.. No 4g or 5g!
So I'm stumped again (as are voxi customer support ) I'd love to get the S21FE signal working as well as it does in my older phones. Could anyone point me towards something I may have overlooked in the settings to solve this please?

How do I change my Samsung S21 to 4G?
Changing the Network Mode on my Samsung Phone
    1. 1 Head into Settings and tap on Connections.
    2. 2 Tap on Mobile networks.
    3. 3 Select Network Mode.
    4. 4 Choose your preferred Network Mode.
    Well so google says.

Seems a common issue given the number of hits.

Thanks, but I've tried this and every other setting I can find which may be relevant

Strange. Long shot  but have you tried putting the phone into flight mode then turning it off again?

Failing that it must be an issue with the SIM. Ask for a replacement.  Edit: Just re-read your post and you've already tried that.

OP - another thing you could try is go to Mobile Network settings on the phone and set Network operator selection to manual. Once a list of networks appear on the screen select a different network such a O2 (don't select Voxi / Vodafone). It won't connect. Now set network selection back to automatic. See if that helps.
  • My partner was on Voxi using an iPhone 13 and could not get a 5G connection. We tried a sim swap, resetting and checking network settings but had no luck.

Voxi claimed the tariff and sim were 5G enabled but it never worked. They moved to another network and 5G works fine, I suspect there was something missing at Voxi’s end but unfortunately customer service couldn’t see anything at the time.
  • Have you tried the other sim slot on the reverse side

Where are you getting these phones? Some imported models don’t have all the 4G bands.

Do these phones get 4G with other SIMs?

There could be something in this. They are refurbished mobiles.
