No fault and claiming from other party - what should show on my car insurance?

Nothing to do with artificial intelligence. Just good old-fashioned statistics.force_ten1 said:
but you still made a claim and that is what you are declaringSarahB16 said:Thank you for your replies and it seems from the replies the only way for this to be recorded is as a 'no-fault claim' even though I didn't even claim from my own insurance company. It's annoying because from looking online it would appear that my premiums will likely increase because of this.
and yes your next years premium may increase because some car insurance companies are using artificial intelligence for renewal quotes and the system has been told that as somebody that has had a claim In the past means you're statistically more likely to make additional claims in future
regardless of what we think that is just how it is0 -
I’ve had two cars hit while parked in the same spot in the last two years. Luckily the drivers stopped and left details so I claimed off them. It’s had virtually no impact that I’ve noticed on my premiums. Quite surprising really, as it must be a fairly risky place to park and if the drivers hadn’t stopped it would have been my insurance picking up the bill.
I’m sure your premium will soar at renewal, but I think that will be due to general increases rather than this non fault claim.0 -
Depends on the insurer and how good a risk you are otherwise... some will see an increase and some see no changes at all. The reality is we are all going to see increases again next year and inevitably your reaction will be its because of the claim but in its going to be the same as this year and predominately due to inflationSarahB16 said:Thank you for your replies and it seems from the replies the only way for this to be recorded is as a 'no-fault claim' even though I didn't even claim from my own insurance company.
