But not saying that’s what always happens but like you said there’s nothing to say after 3 years of having a default on your file that you get a debt collector who doesn’t listen and goes down the ccj route so I ended up 9 years of advise credit history or not far off that 3 years with just a default on there then the debt collector who purchased the debt getting a ccj for 6 years.
in my case they had all the paper work and assigned the debt had been making regular payments so wasn’t a statute barred debt either£2820/£4000 0% 24 months pay £150 HSBC

What happened to Magpies is very unusual and as the creditor ended up with a smaller payment than they would if they had just left things as they were so I guess they learned a lesson. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.1

Yeah it seem they were more intent of just being plain awkward and I didn’t put it to discourage you just to that it can happen for me all they did was extend my payments by about 10 more years lol.
Like the ccj has long gone from my file but it gets paid first of every month now they send me letters offering me discount to pay it off sooner but think I’m gonna go the full term with this thats what they wanted that’s what there going to get.
But hope your situation changes for the better£2820/£4000 0% 24 months pay £150 HSBC

Well I have cancelled all my direct debits to all creditors so time to sit and wait (and put savings into emergency fund)!

No I am not expecting anything but I have 3 Virgin credit cards given to me in short succession - according to Debt Camel that shouldn't be allowed to happen so going to start there. Shy bairns get nout and all that.....0

'If you were given two credit cards or two catalogue accounts by the same lender, often the second one should never have been given.'
As stated on Debt Camel1 -
I made a complaint to Virgin about this, although they only gave me 2 cards and they rejected it. Perhaps I should try FOS 🤔0
