Basically you buy the domain, you want it to point to another host package. they then change the direction of all enquires to your new host package keeping control of name renewl with them
can he puts up pages from his machine when he connects to the host package
can he ping domain name ,hit start on windows click run window pops up type cmd, click ok another window pops up type ping www.yourdomain.com (you need a space after the word ping ) it will then tell you what if any your dns is pointed to is it the same as his hosting comp gave him0
