Can anyone offer any advice????
My son wants to start his own website and is looking for a ready made site initially if possible, to keep it as simple as possible.
Any advice appreciated.

Just a thought, can you transfer a co.uk domain across to bravenet, or has it got to be .com etc???

well, he could get hosting and a domain quite cheaply.. i use this firm for small site hosting: http://www.netweaver.com/nw/web.php
You can fit a site into 10mb, and at 27 quid, its pretty good value.
He could then get a template from here:

My son has registered his domain and transferred the nameservers to bravenet. When trying to buld a website using an "existing domain" he gets an "invalid" message. I have tried myself and get the same message.
Despite bravenet support he is getting nowhere, has anyone any ideas from experience??
He is toying with going back with 123-reg and taking out a basic package but wanted to try a free hosting site to gain a few months experience first. Is 123-reg ok, he needs a simple website making facility?? If it is simple I wouldn't mind getting involved myself, it looks pretty interesting, but frustrating initially. What other options are there from a "basic" point of view??
Sorry lots of questions, any help appreciated, even if advised to "leave it alone"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Many thanks,
