Parked Self Charging Electric Vehicle in a Train Station Car Park in an Electric Charging Bay

There was never any intent to "abuse" the system - I honestly didnt think I was doing anything wrong having an electric vehicle, be it a "mild hybrid" or whatever and parking in this place. I wasnt asking for sympathy and neither am I a "smug abuser of the system"(Removed by Forum Team)0 -

Here is the photograph of Park Watch's sign at Newton-le-Willows train station - they say its private land - I am sure that someone said that its different when parking on train stations ?

Even zooming in, I can't read the Ts and Cs regarding charging bays, so the signage is therefore inadequate. If you could get closer to get a clear picture of the fine print, it might help.
The most important thing though is to find out if it is a railway assets where railway byelaws apply. If that is the case, then the keeper cannot be held liable. That's why it is important not to identify the driver.
However, as others have said, parking in a charging bay but not charging the vehicle is not on. It is the motorists' responsibility that they do not abuse the car parking facilities.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Thanks a lot @fr@Fruitcake - I will try and get a closer look. How would I find out if railway byelaws apply. Yes I agree - it was an absolutely genuine mistake and not one that was made on purpose. I appreciate some have pointed that out - most more eloquently than others who are just down right rude about it.Fruitcake said:Even zooming in, I can't read the Ts and Cs regarding charging bays, so the signage is therefore inadequate. In view of @Castle's post below, try this:

A bit confusing (what isn't in this game) given the signage alludes to Merseytravel involvement). And from an EV owner, a polite plea not to block my ability to charge my car, especially given the very sparse availability of charging points across the country, something ICE owners do not face in terms of petrol stations. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Thanks so much @Umkomaas - it absolutely wasnt intentional as a "mild hybrid" car owner. Thank you for being polite.Umkomaas said:How would I find out if railway byelaws applyStart here. And from an EV owner, a polite plea not to block my ability to charge my car, especially given the very sparse availability of charging points across the country, something ICE owners do not face in terms of petrol stations.

I think the OP has been rather disingenuous in trying to suggest that their "self-charging hybrid" (i.e. no plug but uses petrol) car is an EV and won't have earned any sympathy votes by doing so.@Coupon-mad and @Fruitcake

The OP seems to accept they parked in an EV charging bay.
The photo that has been shared seems to be general signage relating to the car park as a whole.
Is there any more local / specific signage for the EV charging bays? (Signs or road markings or both.) I would expect that there would be in the same way as disabled parking bays, staff parking, loading only, drop-off / pick-up or maintenance vehicle bays would have specific indications in addition to the more general car-park wide signage.
Parking in an EV bay is probably cheap at £40 for the day as the operator has suffered a genuine loss of income by the charging facility being obstructed as they cannot sell the electricity. As others have said, it is like parking at a petrol pump and then disappearing.3
